Users in Timesheets MTS |
Users in Timesheets MTS represent the people in your company. A user can have a security level defining what they can and cannot do in Timesheets MTS and users can be of a certain type to account for different charge rates in your company.
The user maintenance screen provides a list of created users down the left hand side, and a details form for the selected user on the right. To select a user click on it in the list on the left hand side of the screen and its details will be displayed.
To access the user maintenance screen you must be logged in with sufficient permissions and it can be accessed from the User Maintenance button on the main toolbar or from the User Maintenance option of the Data Maintenance drop down menu.
Some of the user details such as user name and abbreviation are largely used for identification in reports and during the login process. The user type determines the base billing rate for the user, while the security level determines what the user can and cannot do within Timesheets MTS. The user time requirement is used on the Weekly Time Display and Weekly Time Report to calculate whether a user has booked enough time for the week. The Employee Disabled check box allows you to disable a user account if that person leaves the employ of your company. Finally the Reset Password button allows you to reset a user password back to the default setting (as set on the Options screen) if they ever forget their password.
