Customizing Timesheets MTS - Time Periods |
Timesheets MTS requires the definition of time periods before any data can be logged into a timesheet. These periods could reflect your internal reporting periods, financial years, financial quarters or whatever you desire. To create a new time period structure you must delete all the existing time periods. You will then be able to add time periods in time order from least recent to most recent or in the future. An added advantage is that super users can choose to lock time periods to prevent old data from being changed.
To add a new time period click the button and enter the details on the time period screen. When adding a new time period the start of the period will be one day after the end of the immediately preceeding time period.
To edit an existing period either double click on the user type in the list or click on the time period in the list and then click the button. Edit the details on the time period screen. If the time period is not the most recent on you will only be able to edit the title or lock/unlock the period. If the time period is the most recent one you will be able to change the end date of the period as well.
To delete a period select the period from the list and click the button. You will only be able to delete the most recent period.
The Time period screen is shown when adding a new time period or editing an existing one.
