Timesheets MTS version 2.6.0 (our low cost time billing software) has just been released. Here's a detailed list of the changes made in this new version.

  • The travel form has been completely re-written to function more reliably and faster.
  • The Manage Travel Codes screen has been added to the Tools->Options screen.
  • Added a new setting to the Display Preferences screen. The "Use Travel Codes" setting forces users to select a travel code when entering a travel item.
  • Added a Travel Code dropdown to the add/edit travel screen.
  • When travel codes are in use the travel form displays the cost of the travel and appends the travel code to the travel description.
  • Fixed up some security issues including preventing normal users being able to see the Contact Maintenance screen and stopped access to various reports.
  • The default selected tab on the Contact Maintenance screen is set to the Contact Details tab rather than the the Additional Fields tab.
  • Fixed some date display issues in the Excel version of the Activity Report.
  • The timesheet now sorts correctly by date and time columns.
  • The expenditure tab of the timesheet now sorts correctly by date when more than one date is selected on the calendar.
  • The travel tab of the timesheet now sorts correctly by travel distance. It also sorts correctly by date when more than one date is selected on the calendar.
  • When time, travel, and expenditure items are dragged from the timesheet to different days on the calendar users are now given the option to either move to copy the timesheet items.
  • Added the Daily Time report.
  • Fixed up the default text for the add contact wizard.
  • The line item description for expenditure line items is now truncated to 255 characters rather than 30.
